Middle DevOps Engineer

Salary: from €4.500 per month (based on interview results)

Location: relocation to Spain, Barcelona

Our client is a leading global IT company renowned for its extensive range of tools and solutions tailored for the information technology sector. They specialize in creating innovative products for software developers, project managers, and content management systems. We collaborate with them across more than 30 diverse projects, supported by a team of over 150 highly skilled engineers.

About the Project:

Currently, our client is at a pivotal moment in their growth. They aim to strengthen their partnerships by integrating into a comprehensive product ecosystem and expanding their team. As part of this expansion, we are looking for a talented Middle DevOps Engineer to join a specialized consulting team. Your role will involve implementing best practices in product release management, ensuring the efficient and reliable deployment of new product versions through continuous process improvements.

Key requirements:

• Expertise in DevOps practices: you should be proficient in modern DevOps methodologies and possess the relevant technical skill set.
• Configuration as code: mastery in defining system configurations programmatically.
• Scripting proficiency: strong command of Python and Bash for automating tasks.
• CI/CD pipelines: experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment processes.
• Release management: skilled in managing and orchestrating software releases.
• Incremental improvement: a commitment to making consistent, small improvements over time.
• Version control systems: proficient in using version control, ideally Git.
• Analytical mindset: ready to spearhead new initiatives with strong analytical capabilities.
• Customer-centric: a keen focus on customer needs and meticulous attention to detail.
• English proficiency: intermediate level of English or higher.

Bonus points for:

• Cloud expertise: familiarity with Platform/Infrastructure-as-a-Service providers like AWS and Azure.
• Production services: experience in managing and troubleshooting production-level services.
• Build tools: knowledge of build and release tools such as Maven and Gradle.
• Java understanding: a general understanding of Java is advantageous.

You will work with:

• Implementation phase: participate in the implementation stage, helping to define and establish the core components of various systems.
